Installation Errors

Ministry Organizer

Cannot write to Wininet.dll or Urlmon.dll during installation

During installation you may receive the following error message:

Setup could not write to the file: C:\Windows\System\Wininet.dll.  This file is currently being used by another application. Close any open applications.

or

Setup could not write to the file: C:\Windows\System\Urlmon.dll. This file is currently being used by another application. Close any open applications.

You have the following options:  Retry, Abort and Ignore. The path to the files will be specific to your computer’s Microsoft Windows System path.

Cause

The software contains a newer version of one, or both, of the the files, Wininet.dll or Urlmon.dll.  The Setup program always tries to overwrite older copies of files on a system to which it is installing. The Setup program will not be able to successfully overwrite these files since these files are locked by the Windows operating system.

Resolution

Click Ignore in the error message box. The software will install without any side affects.

Can’t create output file: c:\MiniOrg Setup\Setup.tdf

Cause

You have attempted to unzip the Ministry Organizer Zip file without first deleting the “c:\MiniOrg Setup” folder

Resolution

Delete the “c:\MiniOrg Setup” folder on your harddrive then attempt the unzip again.
